Kat is the photographer behind Aurea Stories. Based on the Sunshine Coast, she has a deep love for golden light, genuine moments, and the kind of love stories that don't fit neatly into a template.
She studied film and television at university — which is probably why she's never thought of photography as just taking pictures. Every session is a short film to her: a mood, a feeling, a story worth telling. She just happens to tell it in stills.
Kat moves quietly on the day, watching for the moment just before, the look that passes between two people when no one else is paying attention. The connection is everything. Her job is to be in the right place when it shows.
Luke is the filmmaker behind Aurea Stories, and he came to this work via one of the more interesting routes — over a decade as an automotive designer with Jaguar, Aston Martin and Volvo. That background shows. He sees light and composition the way most people don't.
Kat and Luke first worked together on a music video. The trust they built there is exactly what you feel in an Aurea Stories film. This isn't a photographer who hired a videographer — it's two people who already trust each other's instincts, working toward the same feeling.
